Salm and Soul

Week 32 (#1994)
In January 2005, Scotland’s biggest cathedral was filled to capacity as Gaelic psalm singers met and sang with the Mount Zion CPCA Church Gospel Choir from Alabama to explore the connections and contrasts in the performance styles and traditions of African-American and Hebridean psalm singing. We revisit this unique musical gathering and the creative exchanges it still inspires.
